Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. -1 Peter 3:9
Time stands still best in moments that looks suspiciously like ordinary life.
In the end, only three things matter: How much you loved, how gently you lived and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.
The greatest cruelty is our casual blindness to the despair of others.
I am trying to see things in perspective. My dog wants a bite of my peanut butter chocolate chip bagel. I know she cannot have this, because chocolate makes dogs very sick. My dog does not understand this. She pouts and wraps herself around my leg like a scarf and purrs and tries to convince me to give her a tiny bit. When I do not give in, she eventually gives up and lays in the corner, under the piano, drooping and sad. I hope the universe has my best interest in mind like I have my dog’s. When I want something with my whole being, and the universe withholds it from me, I hope the universe thinks to herself: “Silly girl. She thinks this is what she wants, but she does not understand how it will hurt.”

You gotta look for the good in the bad, the happy in your sad, the gain in your pain, and what makes your grateful not hateful.

I know you’re not here. I can see it in your eyes when we talk. Wherever you are, come back soon.
Alan and I are sitting here watching tv (he is messing with his phone) and the new Sprint commercial came on. It’s the new 4G Android phone “in a smaller package”.
Me: Why would you want a smaller one?!
Alan: Gas mileage.
Me: It was a phone!!
Alan: Oh, I thought it was a car commercial!
hahaa my mom is hilarious!
